YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

March 14, 2021 marked one year since the first reported COVID-19 death in New York City. On New York City’s official day of remembrance, we joined Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for a powerful collaboration in memory of all those we have lost to this pandemic. Since the release of this video tribute, we have been overwhelmed by the incredible responses from our families, friends, and supporters from around the world. We are filled with gratitude for everyone who participated in creating this hope-filled rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

“I am so encouraged by today’s young people, they are all from different backgrounds and races. I see possibilities of change and growth for their tomorrows.”

“Really beautiful. In every way.”

YPC AND THE ACDA

2020 ACDA PERFORMANCE NOW STREAMING

Last year at the 2020 ACDA Eastern Region Conference, YPC was one of only a dozen choruses selected to perform at the historic Hochstein School of Music in Rochester, NY. Our entire concert, conducted by Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Núñez, is now available to stream on YPC’s virtual platform, In The Key of Love.

DIVERSITY IN MUSIC
A KEYNOTE BY FRANCISCO J. NUÑEZ

The 2021 American Choral Directors Association National Conference began on March 18, and we are honored to announce that YPC’s Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez will deliver a keynote address on Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. EDT!

FURUSATO

Ten years after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami struck Tohoku on March 11, 2011, we were asked to join the Consulate General of Japan in New York to commemorate those affected by this terrible natural disaster. Led by Associate Conductor Sophia Papoulis, our performance of “Furusato,” a well-known children’s song that means “Hometown” in Japanese, pays tribute to Tohoku’s revitalization and provides inspiration to overcome the hardships and trauma and celebrates those who are building a brighter future.
