Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK is an immersive audio experience, free to the public, tailor-made to enhance exploring Central Park while observing social distancing guidelines. The expansive score for Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK features newly written music performed by Musicians of the New York Philharmonic, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City: Francisco J. Núñez and many more!

A debut, New Prayer For Now (Part 1), features music by Monstah Black and the Young People's Chorus of NYC, inspired by "Balm in Gilead" by Harry Thacker Burleigh and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Paul Simon. This in-the-round work, adapted for both virtual and live performance, will eventually allow for virtual participation of dancers from multiple locations.

Performed in 2017 by members of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, the LiveArts Digital Premiere features visuals drawn from The Met’s stellar collection of ancient Greek art and artifacts. This original adventure story is presented in a new musical setting that returns the epic to its roots as a tale meant to be sung (“Sing in me, Muse”).

On Friday, June 11, join the Young People’s Chorus of New York City for the premiere of YPC’s Hello Singers–The Big Sing, the virtual year-end finale of our in-school music program.

After a year filled with many challenges and new ways of interacting, choral leaders are uniquely positioned to help singers and communities navigate the social, emotional, and psychological aspects of returning to work and in-person engagements. Are we ready?

A Very Merry New York is a music-filled holiday special that spotlights the choristers of the Young People’s Chorus as they bring the city holiday spirit to life through singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling.

In our new holiday film Topsy Turvy New York, The Young People’s Chorus of New York City takes viewers on an uplifting journey of brilliant song and showmanship to recapture the post-pandemic holiday spirit. The performance is set to an original story by best-selling author James Patterson and co-written by author and lyricist Susan DiLallo and author Richard DiLallo.

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) will perform the historic and poignant operetta “Brundibár” at The Museum of Jewish Heritage on Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m.
