The Young People’s Chorus of New York City conducted by YPC Conductor Maria Peña and Assistant Conductor Gia Gun returns to the Church of the Intercession to sing the musical prelude in its annual holiday candlelight reading of Clement Clarke Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” (A Visit from Saint Nicholas).
The Young People’s Chorus of New York City returns to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for this cherished and much-anticipated celebration of Christmas.
The European Jewish Congress has invited the Young People’s Chorus of New York City to join singers from the allied countries of the U.K., France, and Russia in Jerusalem to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the baton of internationally renowned Maestro Vladimir Spivakov.
Young People’s Chorus of New York City, under the direction of Artistic Director/Founder Francisco J. Núñez, with a stunning line-up of special guests, will fill the stage and boxes above with show-stopping production numbers and dazzling choreography.
When Festival Napa Valley, California Wine Country’s flagship music festival, made the decision to postpone its 15th Anniversary Season to 2021, its artists refused to be silenced. Led by two alumni of the Festival’s Blackburn Music Academy – conductor Zach Salsburg-Frank and violinist Sienna Peck – 126 past and present Festival Napa Valley musicians joined forces to create an extraordinary virtual performance of the famous “Va, pensiero” chorus from the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi.
The Young People's Chorus of New York City performs in The Universe in Verse - an event conceived by the brilliant Maria Popova. This livestream performance will premiere a new work commissioned by the New York Philharmonic and composed by long-time YPC collaborator, Paola Prestini. Participating musicians include Rosanne Cash, Patti Smith, Amanda Palmer, Zoë Keating, Morley, and Cécile McLorin Salvant.
On May 2, 2020, Young People's Chorus of New York City performed in "The Call to Unite," a 24-hour global livestream event celebrating our collective humanity. YPC joined with more than 200 world leaders, artists, musicians, front-line workers, including Oprah Winfrey, Julia Roberts, Quincy Jones, Yo-Yo Ma, Deepak Chopra, and Mandy Moore.
The Young People’s Chorus of NYC will virtually perform “America the Beautiful” and “Lean On Me” in Macy's Fourth of July fireworks show. The musical score will be a mix of pop and patriotic anthems and will air on NBC from 8-10 p.m.
Young People’s Chorus of New York City and Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez present FORWARD TOGETHER, our first-ever virtual season finale concert. The one-hour online event will feature 600 choristers from YPC’s after-school performance and community choruses, along with special guest stars.

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City is among 30 musicians from three continents to be invited by composer Paola Prestini and Mexican vocalist Magos Herrera to take part in “Con Alma,” a genre-crossing blend of Mexican folk songs, American jazz standards, and original musical meditations on isolation in a free, live digital experience from Mexico City and New York City on Sunday, December 13, at 7 p.m. at conalmaproject.com
