Sunday, October 27
SECOND Floor NYC

WIT serves the young women and alumnae of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City by encouraging mentoring relationships with accomplished women from various professions (what we call WIT Pros) as part of YPC’s College Bound Program. This year’s conference theme is FINDING YOUR VOICE and will include networking opportunities, a panel discussion, and a formal lunch.

Panelists:

  • Chef and author Mary Giuliani, Tiny Hot Dogs: A Memoir in Small Bites
  • Erin Stanton, founder and author of Susie’s Senior Dogs
  • Journalists Jazmine Hughes and Caitlin Roper of The New York Times Magazine

With Special Guest Artist – YPC alumna and Freestyle Love Supreme break-out star Aneesa Folds

Created by YPC’s Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Núñez, WIT: Women Inspiring Tomorrow provides special opportunities for high school-aged choristers and YPC alumnae to meet and learn from successful women in a variety of fields. WIT’s innovative programming extends YPC’s mission of excellence, diversity and education beyond the rehearsal room, ensuring that choristers have the tools to thrive in their careers and in professional relationships in the future.
