July 11 to July 16, 2017

In July the Young People’s Chorus of New York City and Artistic Director/Founder Francisco J. Núñez return to Spain for their second tour, beginning with a concert in Catalana followed by a festival of competitions and performances in Vic.

Palau de la Musica Catalana – July 11

First, YPC performs at the world famous Palau de la Musica Catalana, listed as a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO, and is the home of the Orfeo Català, the historic symphonic choir led by Simon Halsey.

Festival Internacional de Música de Cantonigròs – July 13-16

YPC is honored to be invited to participate in the Festival Internacional De Música De Cantonigròs, an international festival founded in 1983.  Choruses from throughout the world take part in this festival of competitions and performances of mixed choral music.  The festival’s aims are for participants to achieve a deeper knowledge and understanding of different cultures and to foster a spirit of friendship and peace among all countries and nationalities.
