Young People’s Chorus of New York City, under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez, presents FORWARD TOGETHER, our first-ever virtual season finale concert. This one-hour event features over 600 children from YPC choruses, Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Núñez, Associate Conductor Sophia Papoulis, Assistant Conductors Maria Peña, Sonny Willis, Gia Gan, and Emma Hathaway, and choreography by Jacquelyn Bird. Don’t miss show-stopping performances by Grammy award-winning artist Jason Mraz, Broadway star and YPC Alumna Aneesa Folds, acclaimed baritone Lester Lynch, and a performance of composer Gordon Getty’s “Young America.” The concert also features world premiere performances from YPC’s groundbreaking virtual album, HEROES, and a special tribute to the Class of 2020.
Today’s young people have bravely faced unprecedented challenges, from a global pandemic, to a national call for equality and justice led by our country’s youth. Through it all, our choristers never stopped raising their voices. Join us to celebrate the hard work, dedication, creativity, and joy that has produced a concert unlike any other in YPC history.
No tickets are needed! The concert will stream on Monday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
