The Young People’s Chorus of New York City produces a sound unlike any other in the world. It is a sound that comes from the voices of more than 2,000 children in our programs every year. Our choristers represent different boroughs of New York City, different backgrounds and lived experiences, and different hopes and dreams for the future. At YPC, their voices come together and build upon the gifts of music, education, creativity, and community.

YPC’s Gala supports our award-winning program of music education and choral performance, commissions for new music from today’s leading composers, performances on the world’s greatest stages, as well as YPC’s College Bound initiative, which ensures that 100% of our graduating senior choristers continue on to higher education. From chorister to college student, YPC provides essential support every step of the way.
