On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami struck Tohoku, devastating the region and impacting thousands of lives. On this somber day tens years later, we are honored to join the Consulate General of Japan in New York in paying tribute to those affected by this natural disaster with a performance of “Furusato,” a well-known children’s song that means “Hometown” in Japanese.
