The Young People’s Chorus of New York City performs in The Universe in Verse — a broadening of perspective: cosmic, creaturely, temporal, scientific, humanistic, on Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Participating musicians include Rosanne Cash, Patti Smith, Amanda Palmer, Zoë Keating, Morley, Cécile McLorin Salvant, and Paola Prestini. Prestini’s Thrush Song, which is based on text from Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring, will be performed by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, in a virtual performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
