YPC kicks off tour season with two New York City performances followed by a summer tour through the Dominican Republic and Tennessee.



YPC performs with “Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything”

Thursday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m.
The Jewish Museum 

Bang on a Can and the Jewish Museum present: Young People’s Chorus of New York City in Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything. YPC, directed by Francisco J. Núñez, performs songs and poems by Leonard Cohen, George Gershwin, Ellen Reid, Stephen Sondheim, and others, coinciding with the the Jewish Museum exhibition.

Free Pre-curtain Performance before Classical Theater of Harlem’s “The Bacchae”

Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Richard Rodgers Amphitheater at Marcus Garvey Park

Young People’s Chorus of New York City will give a pre-curtain concert prior to the Classical Theatre of Harlem’s theatrical presentation of “The Bacchae” at Marcus Garvey Park. Both performances are free and open to the public.

The Launch of YPC National Lab and Debut of Concinamus

July 16-27, 2019

Francisco J. Núñez and YPC will create a momentous, new milestone with the launch of YPC National on tour in the Dominican Republic and in Tennessee.

Following a workshop and performance in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, YPC and YPC National Concinamus will perform back-to-back free performances at Lee University in Cleveland, TN and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN.
