First YPC Gold Medals in International Choral Competition
YPC wins the gold in both the Contemporary Music and Chamber Music categories at the Des Moines International Children’s Choral Festival—in competition with one dozen choirs from seven nations.

“The Young People’s Chorus of New York City showed why it captured both the chamber ensemble and contemporary music competition. One enchanting number in particular, “Adiemus,” showcased the beauty of their voices. For good measure, they gave a crowd-pleasing rendition of “New York, New York”.
