A Night of Shining Performances

Our first live gala in two years did not disappoint! It was a joyous event featuring over 450 young artists led by Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez, accompanied by a 28-piece orchestra and joined by some very special guests. This spectacular benefit concert and dinner raises funds to support the over 2,000 choristers in YPC’s programs each year. View the highlights and make plans to join us next year in early Spring.

ABOUT YOUNG PEOPLE’S CHORUS OF NEW YORK CITY

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) is an internationally renowned multicultural youth chorus founded by Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez, a MacArthur Fellow and Musical America’s 2018 Educator of the Year.

YPC’s mission and values are deeply rooted in an innovative model of diversity, which provides children of all cultural and economic backgrounds with a unique program of music education and choral performance.

YPC also earned the distinction of “Choir of the World” in July 2018 at the International Choral Kathaumixw (Powell River, British Columbia), marking the first time a North American chorus has ever won this title in the 34-year history of Kathaumixw.
