If other users report that your videos cannot be used in reactions, your account-level react video settings and global toggles require immediate reconfiguration. TikTok frequently updates privacy policies following client app updates, resetting user configurations to conservative defaults without prompting push notices.
To verify and restore permissions across your account:
Open your profile tab, select the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner, and tap Settings and Privacy. Navigate directly to Privacy, scroll down to the Interactions heading, and select Duet. Here, TikTok presents three permission thresholds: Everyone, Followers you follow back, and Only me. If this option is parked on "Only me," third parties are locked out across your entire historical catalog.
Switching this setting to Everyone unlocks future uploads, but it does not retroactively rewrite individual clips whose permissions were manually toggled off during publication. To fix a specific published post, open that video, tap the three dots on the right rail, scroll across the bottom settings strip, and tap Privacy Settings. Switch the Allow Duet toggle to the right until it displays green. The option will activate across the global user base within seconds.
