The franchise has not always broadcast from the South Pacific. Travel restrictions, production scale, and network transitions have repeatedly shifted the series across states, territories, and oceans over the past seven years.

When global borders shut down in 2020, producers took over The Cromwell on the Las Vegas strip, converting Drai’s Beachclub into a neon-soaked, open-air set. The following summer, the production pivoted to the Hawaii season 3 villa, renting a multi-level estate perched over ocean cliffs in Ninole. Season 4 brought the show to a historic Santa Barbara villa estate overlooking the Pacific. However, continental weather proved cool and unpredictable in late summer, prompting Peacock to permanently move back to Fiji starting with Season 5.
