Following Meta's design updates, locating the tool no longer requires bookmarking obscure links, though the direct desktop directory remains the fastest route. If you are operating from a desktop web browser, navigate straight to the Facebook poke page URL by typing facebook.com/pokes into the address bar. This loads your personalized dashboard, displaying pending pokes you have received alongside an automated list of suggested contacts to nudge.
Finding the tool inside the native iOS or Android application requires slightly different steps:
1. Open the Facebook application on your mobile device.
- Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner to open the search bar.
- Type "Pokes" into the search field and submit the query.
- Select the top system shortcut, a blue hand icon marked simply "Pokes".
- View your inbound interactions at the top of the interface, or browse the suggested list below.
- Tap the blue "Poke" button beside any suggested friend, or tap "Poke Back" on any received prompt.
Meta also introduced search-based surfacing. When you search for the name of an existing friend with whom you interact regularly, the platform often displays a small poke button directly alongside their name in the drop-down results before you even land on their profile. This change eliminated the friction that previously kept the feature buried.
