A streaming network stands or falls by its intellectual property. MGM+ does not attempt to replicate the massive, bloated content slates of Disney+ or Netflix. Instead, it curates tightly budgeted, atmospheric television aimed squarely at adult audiences.
The runaway flagship of the service is From, an unsettling sci-fi mystery horror series led by Harold Perrineau and produced by veterans of Lost. The show built an obsessive online following across social communities and Reddit forums, driving notable subscription spikes whenever new seasons drop. Historical crime drama Godfather of Harlem, starring Forest Whitaker as crime boss Bumpy Johnson, delivers another cornerstone drama supported by critical acclaim and veteran acting ensembles.
Other notable scripted entries include western epic Billy the Kid, WWII action-drama SAS: Rogue Heroes, and British espionage thriller A Spy Among Friends. Beyond original drama, the service taps century-deep film archives. Subscribers gain rolling access to iconic franchises including classic James Bond installments, the Rocky and Creed series, modern indie darlings, and mid-budget Hollywood thrillers that have vanished from standard theatrical runs.
