Q1: Will Disney’s Art of Animation Resort close completely during the renovation?
A: No. Disney will employ a phased building-by-building refurbishment schedule. Guest rooms outside active construction zones will remain fully open for bookings, and Animation Hall, dining venues, and Skyliner transport will operate normally.
Q2: When can vacationers book the newly redesigned rooms?
A: The first renovated suites in the Finding Nemo section are slated for completion by late autumn 2027. While Disney does not typically guarantee specific renovated rooms during early rollout phases, guests booking late-2027 and 2028 stays will see increased chances of being assigned to completed suites.
Q3: Are standard Little Mermaid rooms getting the same layout upgrades as the family suites?
A: The Little Mermaid rooms will receive updated flooring, smart TVs, refreshed bathrooms, and modern charging stations, but their physical 277-square-foot footprint will remain unchanged. The modular Murphy bed configurations are exclusive to the family suites.
