Apple routes all browser downloads directly to a sandboxed destination: the Downloads folder inside iCloud Drive or the local "On My iPhone" partition. If you want these clips inside the Photos app to edit them in CapCut, LumaFusion, or Instagram, you need to complete a quick file transfer.
Once Safari finishes downloading your clean MP4:
1. Tap the Download icon (a small downward arrow inside a circle) on the left side of Safari's address bar.
- Select your downloaded file from the pop-up list to preview it, or tap the magnifying glass icon to jump straight to its location inside the Files app.
- Tap the standard iOS Share Sheet icon (the box with an upward arrow) in the bottom left corner.
- Scroll down the action list and select Save Video.
The system will instantly copy the media asset into your Camera Roll, cataloging it by its original creation date. You can safely delete the lingering MP4 file from the Files app afterward to keep your local iPhone storage clean.
