Building at this resolution means every edge must suggest a form rather than explicitly outline it. When teaching this design, seasoned creators follow a specific step-by-step block placement sequence that balances structural balance against readability.

[Smooth Sandstone / Mud Brick] <-- Pedestal Shaft
First, assemble the minecraft statue pedestal. A common rookie mistake is setting the miniature figure directly onto flat terrain, which strips the statue of its civic gravitas. Lay down a 5x5 platform of smooth sandstone or mud brick slabs. Elevate the center core using chiseled stone brick blocks three blocks high, then step the base inward using upside-down polished diorite or deepslate stairs. This distinct color change keeps the pale green patina from bleeding visually into the pedestal foundation.
Second, sculpt the lower body. Place two oxidized copper stairs facing inward to imply the drapery of the robe hanging over the feet. Behind them, stack a single oxidized copper block, capping the front with a prismarine slab. This small offset simulates the forward posture of Liberty’s stride.
Third, construct the torso and arms. Mount an oxidized copper wall block in the center chest position. On the left side, attach a warped fence gate angled inward to evoke the arm carrying the Tabula Ansata.
Fourth, solve the torch holding arm detail. The raised right arm is the definitive silhouette marker for this build. Affix a lightning rod or an oxidized copper wall piece extending outward, topped by an end rod or an unlit soul campfire. For night-time visibility without distracting light bursts, place a single pale glow lichen on top of the fence or cap it with a soul lantern.
Finally, place the head and halo crown. A simple oxidized copper block is too bulky for a head. Instead, place an armor stand with an oxidized-colored custom player head or a weathered cut copper slab flanked by downward-pointing warped trapdoors. This arrangement mimics the seven points of the radiant halo without creating an oversized bobblehead.
