They’re wrong. \n\n \nThrough new works by 15 of the world’s leading composers\, emerging songwriters and choreographers\, you will witness spoken word\, poetry\, sculpture\, video art\, music\, film\, and live performance and hear hundreds of young artists aged 8-18 process their biggest\, most powerful emotions. You will feel their sorrow\, their pain\, their fear\, their joy\, their loneliness\, their love and their hope reflected in their work. You will see yourself in their stories\, in the music and in their faces. And when you depart\, you too\, will be a different person.\n  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis is no ordinary gallery show. AloneTogether is a journey into the subconscious minds of children and teens during a time of global turmoil and transformation. It is an immersive\, transcendent musical experience that excavates the essence of humanity\, the needs\, fears and feelings that connect us all\, even – and even more so – when we cannot be together. From the moment you enter AloneTogether at The CIA at Copia\, you will be immersed in a mixed media\, interactive exhibit unlike any other\, examining life in lockdown in New York City through the eyes of children.\n \nConceived and designed by Francisco J. DESCRIPTION:« All Events \n\n\n\n\n\n\nYPC AT FESTIVAL NAPA VALLEY\n\n\n\nJULY 15 – JULY 24\, 2022 \n\n\n\nThe Young People’s Chorus of New York City will return to the Festival Napa Valley stage for three spectacular performances. \n\n\n\nOn Thursday\, July 14\, YPC will perform a concert for families and children at Festival Live! at the CIA at Copia at 11:00 am. On Saturday\, July 16\, 6:30pm\, YPC will perform the world premiere of ‘Polaris’ by Nia Imani Franklin\, along with Gordon Getty’s ‘Young America’. Lester Lynch\, the renowned baritone\, will also reunite with YPC for a selection of hymns and spirituals. Finally\, on Sunday\, July 17\, YPC will perform as part of the Arts for All Gala with Trisha Yearwood at Nickel & Nickel. \n\n\n\nThe 2022 season of Festival Napa Valley will feature a variety of renowned artists and emerging talent of many genres.
