DESCRIPTION:« All Events \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFESTIVAL NAPA VALLEY: AMERICAN SPIRITUALS WITH LESTER LYNCH AND YPC\n\n\n\nTHURSDAY\, JULY 21\, 6 PM \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe soaring voices of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City and the acclaimed operatic baritone Lester Lynch will fill the beautiful Mission-style chapel of the Christian Brothers’ historic Mont La Salle\, a serene space with superb acoustics. \n\n\n\nThe concert opens with the award-winning youth chorus\, whose far-ranging repertoire encompasses Renaissance and classical works\, folk\, gospel\, contemporary and world music. Then comes the celebrated Lester Lynch. Recognized for his charismatic portrayals and commanding voice\, Lynch will sing music from his forthcoming Pentatone recording of American Spirituals\, joined by pianist Brian Farrell and violinist Igor Pikayzen.
