Q1: What is the official Dancing with the Stars text voting number?
The official SMS shortcode for DWTS is 21523. Ballots sent to any other number or legacy shortcode from previous seasons will fail to deliver.
Q2: Can I text the pro dancer's name instead of the celebrity?
No. The voting engine only recognizes the official celebrity first name keyword announced during the broadcast. Texting the professional partner's name results in an uncounted ballot.
Q3: Does voting via text cost extra money?
The show does not charge a fee to vote, but standard message and data rates apply according to your specific wireless phone plan.
Q4: How many times can I text for one couple?
You can cast up to 10 votes per couple per mobile phone number via text. You can cast an additional 10 votes per couple online at dwtsvote.abc.com.
Q5: Can I vote by text if I live in Canada?
No. SMS voting to 21523 is restricted to mobile phones registered on US cellular carriers. Canadian viewers must cast their votes online at dwtsvote.abc.com.
