Q1: Is the Arkan Blade planned for a future Varlamore update?
Jagex has published detailed design roadmaps for Varlamore content. No weapon, quest reward, or boss drop bearing the name Arkan Blade appears anywhere in their developer blogs or community survey charters.
Q2: What is the best alternative if I need a high-tier slash weapon?
For general slash PvM, aim for the Blade of Saeldor or the budget-friendly Abyssal Tentacle. If your targets are demons, prioritize obtaining the Tormented Synapse to craft Emberlight. For absolute end-game slash damage, build toward the Soulreaper Axe or the Scythe of Vitur.
Q3: Did While Guthix Sleeps introduce any new swords?
Yes. The quest brought Tormented Demons into OSRS, which drop the Tormented Synapse. Players use this material alongside an Arclight to smith Emberlight, alongside two other weapon upgrades: Scorching Bow and Purging Staff.
